ClimateLaunchpad: The Green Business Ideas Competition

ClimateLaunchpad is your gateway to global recognition if you have a green business idea and the drive to be an entrepreneur. Whether your innovation lies in renewable energy, sustainable food systems, urban mobility, or any other sector addressing climate change, this competition is designed to train, compete, and launch your idea into a viable business.

Submit your environmentally impactful idea to enter. We'll assist in rapidly transforming your idea into a business model, helping you avoid common pitfalls and learn how to secure funding and market entry.

Selected ideas undergo a rigorous development process, starting with a Boot Camp and followed by coaching sessions, culminating in pitches at National and Regional Finals.

Step 0: Mini-course

Upon application, teams are invited to participate in a mini-course designed to prepare them for the Boot Camp or assist National Leads in making informed selections.

Step 1: Boot Camp

Selected teams participate in a digital Boot Camp, receiving comprehensive training on starting their business from ClimateLaunchpad trainers.

Step 2: Intensive Coaching and National Finals

Following the Boot Camp, teams undergo intensive coaching to refine their pitch, value proposition, and business model, preparing them for the National Finals where they present their ideas digitally to a jury.

Step 3: Regional Finals

The top teams from each country advance to the Regional Finals to pitch their ideas before regional experts. Success here brings skill enhancement, networking opportunities, and significant exposure to help your business flourish, along with the prestige of being a ClimateLaunchpad finalist.

The competition focuses on eight themes identified in consultation with EIT Climate-KIC, covering the most urgent and relevant areas in the fight against climate change. These themes ensure ideas are evaluated fairly by industry experts.

3. Circular Economies
4. Clean Energy
5. Food Systems
6. Sustainable Mobility
7. Urban Solutions
8. The Next Big Thing.

To join, ensure that your business is either not yet started or is less than a year old, with minimal revenue, under €200,000 (or equivalent in USD) in investment, and no commercial sales of products, solutions, or prototypes.
